![]() Here’s a nice size concrete job we did in Anderson, South Carolina, which is just southwest of Greenville. It highlights our attention to detail that we place on our resurfacing jobs. As you can see from our sketch the customer approved, we began to draw a design that opened up the space outside within the enclosure and along the side of the house to create an oasis. In order to do this we created a leveled design that would require forming two levels of retaining walls made out of concrete. We also wanted to connect the walkway along the side of the house with the back enclosure to have a continuous design for people to feel as they entered. We used a slate design in order to create the retaining walls. Along with this we built a wall fence with decorative concrete wall pillars. As you can see Jose in the picture hand chiseled the blocks on the pillars symmetrically as if there were actual blocks used to make the pillar. “Attention to detail” is a phrase we take very seriously at Unique Concrete Design LLP. With the walkway and the slate pattern overlay around the pool deck we used gray and tan colors along the wall also to tie everything in. The texture along this surface was semi ruff in order to prevent major slips when people walk around this swimming pool, but to also add dimension for the color. We poured a good amount of flat concrete and then went back over much of it to add the texture and overlay patterns that we are known for instead of doing stamped concrete which many other companies choose to do. We also included a coat of sealer in order to hold in the color and texture of the concrete.
