Old concrete cracks may be unsightly, but we can turn it around with our overlay!
Cracks in concrete can be a common occurrence.
Cracking can be the result of one or a combination of factors such as drying shrinkage, thermal contraction, restraint (external or internal) to shortening, subgrade settlement, and applied loads. Cracks can be unsightly but don’t necessarily mean that a product has failed.
We like to incorporate cracks into a design to make your driveway, pool deck, porch, or patio look brand new!
Below you'll see successful utilization of our Cracked Concrete Solution. Got cracks in your concrete? Don't remove your concrete when you've got cracks in it. Let's recover it!

Here's a concrete driveway we completed that features our popular Spray Deck design in two tones. This a favored choice being a cost effective one that gives you many different options to choose from. With this design we can create as much or as little texture as possible in any color choice that will accent your home, and surroundings.
This type of concrete driveway is one of most popular designs overall. Flagstone design works best for many customers with existing driveways that may have some wear and tear over the years, but you don't want to pour new concrete. Instead we can use our strong overlay material to add color, texture, hid existing cracks, and create a pattern that makes your home look stunning. Along with this we can make the stones any size and add the tones and colors that will accent your home best.
Here's a nice design we do for customers who want Stone, but not over the entire driveway. This Stone Border we create and continue through the rest of the driveway in a Spray Deck design that provides all of the great benefits of using our strong material that includes being Oil, Rust, & Mildew Resistant.
Here's a concrete driveway in a Stone Design, almost a Cobblestone Simulation, that we did in Mauldin, South Carolina. It also features a unique addition the customer requested. Unique Designs like this we can do for you, just look at our Unique Designs you can access by clicking HERE!
Here’s an indoor overlay concrete job we did out in Pelzer, SC. These earth tone colors with the high gloss concrete floor coating requested gives the appearance and feel of a real marble like surface. With two coats of sealer used we can ensure this interior surface shouldn't need to be resealed in less than 10 years, even with a high amount of traffic. Like always we guarantee the first 5 years under warranty for all overlay on outdoor and indoor flooring.
We created a design with 36 x 36 tile simulation with our overlay concrete material matching the customers specific color request. This same project would have cost the customer an unreasonable amount to try and find the exact matching tile and size, not to mention the cost of installation. As you can see from the picture the flooring turned out beautiful and matched the color the customer desired
As you can see in the pictures the detail in the texture and color is phenomenal!! Highlighting again our attention to detail!
Imagine yourself about to leave from home and its pouring down rain outside. You pull out from under your garage and attempt to go up your concrete driveway and all of sudden you begin to slide back down the hill. You begin to hear your wheels skidding in place and you give it a little gas, but you are getting little traction. What could be causing this dangerous incident that you have never experienced before, even in weather like this?
This was our clients unfortunate scenario from another concrete contractors work. Unique Concrete Design LLP was called in by this client in order to address this problem that needed an immediate solution. We completed this beautiful driveway
in the Cliffs and included the necessary prep work and detailed finish that addressed the problem our client was having. We used our spray coat design adding a layer of concrete material that is mixed polymer and acrylic that provide more than enough texture to give traction for any vehicle to safely go up and down this incline.
Along with this we did a two tone design with a flag stone border at the front of the concrete driveway. We used forest green colors with a touch of reddish brown that reflect the beautiful scenery that makes this home so attractive. As always this job gets the 5 year warranty standard with most of our jobs, but with our attention
to detail this job will last well past 5 years into the lifetime of the property.
Have you ever said to yourself, I wonder what our back patio would look like if we made it a little bit bigger? I wonder what kind of parties or gatherings could we have in our yard?
Well that’s exactly what this customer said out in Mauldin, South Carolina. They had an existing concrete patio where they did some events and had people out on their backyard, but wanted to know what someone could design. The imagined a bigger patio that could host many more gatherings would look like. We took this idea and came up with a design that extended the existing 12’ x 12’ concrete patio in the backyard across the entire back of the house. This would make the space a lot more usable to the needs of the owners.
To do this we poured concrete in a frame that would give the design some style by curving the corners and adding some nuances that wouldn’t make the backyard patio simply look bigger. Before pouring though, we added some extra support to the concrete which included footings and rebar in case the customer or future owner decides to put something like a cover or roof on top of the patio. We also added a French drain around the patio’s edge in order to avoid the type of red dirt build up on the patio that is so tiresome to clean every time it rains in the yard.
As you can see the design we came up with and the colors the customer chose make this back patio look like it came with the house! The flag stone simulation with the blue gray colors creates a very natural feel to this yard.
Here’s a nice size concrete job we did in Anderson, South Carolina, which is just southwest of Greenville. It highlights our attention to detail that we place on our resurfacing jobs. As you can see from our sketch the customer approved, we began to draw a design that opened up the space outside within the enclosure and along the side of the house to create an oasis.
In order to do this we created a leveled design that would require forming two levels of retaining walls made out of concrete. We also wanted to connect the walkway along the side of the house with the back enclosure to have a continuous design for people to feel as they entered. We used a slate design in order to create the retaining walls.
Along with this we built a wall fence with decorative concrete wall pillars. As you can see Jose in the picture hand chiseled the blocks on the pillars symmetrically as if there were actual blocks used to make the pillar. “Attention to detail” is a phrase we take very seriously at Unique Concrete Design LLP. With the walkway and the slate pattern overlay around the pool deck we used gray and tan colors along the wall also to tie everything in. The texture along this surface was semi ruff in order to prevent major slips when people walk around this swimming pool, but to also add dimension for the color.
We poured a good amount of flat concrete and then went back over much of it to add the texture and overlay patterns that we are known for instead of doing stamped concrete which many other companies choose to
do. We also included a coat of sealer in order to hold in the color and texture of the concrete.
This beautiful job took place out in Anderson, South Carolina where we poured a free format patio with a bench to connect the back porch with the existing pool. Prior to our arrival the customer had a nice yard with a pool, but any time after it rained this nice grassy yard wasn't ideal for walking across to the pool for friends or family.
With their idea and our design we were able to continue the existing stone pattern of the home and create a patio that looks as if it came with the purchase of the home. Within this patio bench we added soft lighting to provide a great environment for night fall events. We also did the stone work on the bench that extends out to the pool, which follows the stone pattern that came on the rest of the house. On this same bench we included cool deck stones to cover on the top of the bench so that during the summertime anyone can sit without the fear of being burned. This cool deck material is one of our signature details you’ll get when we design a decorative concrete surface for you.
